I have been a property owner in the Del Monte Forest since 1972. My wife Diane, and I became permanent residents of Pebble Beach in mid 2006. I was born, raised and educated in the East coast, receiving degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (BEE), and Cornell University (MS).
After active duty as an officer in the US Air Force, I attended Stanford University in the Electrical Engineering PhD program. My career field is in high technology computing systems having directed technical and marketing organizations within GTE, Sprint, Tandem, Compaq and HP.
Currently I consult for HP in applying computer technology to global and national security issues. I feel strongly about contributing to the preservation and enhancement of this unique community of quiet neighborhoods, natural forest, coastal habitat, and high-quality visitor serving facilities.

Richard "Dick" Gebhart
- Member of the Board of Directors
My wife Holly and I moved to Del Monte Forest in July 2007 from Cupertino where we lived for 23 years. I worked in the semiconductor business for 35 years, holding positions first in engineering and then general management at both Advanced Micro Devices and Philips Semiconductors. I retired from Philips in April 2007 after spending the last three years of my career as Sr. VP and GM leading their discrete business line in Hamburg, Germany, a group with over $400 million in annual sales.
In Cupertino, I served on the Cupertino Village Homeowners Association Board of Directors for 10+ years. During that time, the board dealt with CC&Rs, compliance with state law for homeowners associations, repair & replacement (fences, painting, roofing, etc.), budgeting, homeowner dues, traffic, parking and myriad of homeowner issues.
We have already found the Forest to be a friendly and welcoming environment. Holly joined the PBRTA early on and is active in their activities and I enjoy cycling and golf on the Peninsula. It is my desire to join the DMFPO board in order to serve the Forest community and preserve/enhance all that this area has to offer.

Sandy Getreu
- Member of the Board of Directors
- Land Use Committee Chair
- Representative, Monterey County DMF Land Use Advisory Committee
I have spent most of my life developing city and project planning concepts, plans, and plan implementation processes. The cities of Rome, New York, and San Jose are some of the communities where I have worked. Because of the volume of new construction and pending development plans for the Forest, the DMFPO is continually resolving issues and developing positions to serve the community's best interest.
My wife, Kelly, and I are active members of the Pebble Beach Riding and Trails Association, an organization dedicated to the maintenance and protection of a 25-mile trail system within the Forest.
My goal is to insure that proper planning policies in these vital organizations serve as a foundation for preservation.

Ned Van Roekel
- Treasurer
My wife and I moved to Pebble Beach in the fall of 2003. We had previously lived in Indiana, Michigan, and Minnesota. After serving as a Prosthodontist on the staff of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for more than 24 years the opportunity to open a private practice in Monterey presented itself. We sold both our snow blowers and moved west.
Professionally I have served on the faculty of the Indiana University School of Dentistry and the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. My extracurricular activities include serving as the President of the American college of Prosthodontists, The American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, section editor of the International Journal of Prosthodontics, and as a reviewer for several other prosthodontic publications.
I look forward to serving as treasurer for the Del Monte Forest Property Owners. My wife and I thoroughly enjoy life in the forest. Participating in the activities of the homeowners association will provide the opportunity to promote and protect the ambiance of Pebble Beach.
