I have been a Del Monte Forest homeowner since 1999 and a part-time resident and homeowner on the peninsula since 1988.
I hold an MBA in marketing and finance and spent my first career in academe ( I still teach occasionally for the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and have also taught locally at CSUSB and MPC). I served as Director of Marketing Communications for a Fortune 500 corporation and owned and operated a marketing consulting firm.
I have been licensed in real estate sales since 1988 and am currently a broker associate with Keller Williams Realty in Carmel. I have served on the Boards of several nonprofit foundations over the years.

Al Budris
- President
I am a young (45 years), conservative business executive with 25 years of sporting goods industry experience spanning sales, operations, marketing and strategic development. I am a team player with a strong work ethic, a high degree of integrity, a great deal of empathy and a commitment to the well-being of his organization. I am level-headed individual and I can calmly and thoroughly analyze any situation, then present effective solutions that achieve both short-term results and long-term sustainability.
I have lived on the Monterey Peninsula for nearly a decade, half of which has been the forest. My wife has lived in the Forest for nearly two decades, which provides me with a wealth of historical perspective. I have found my home on the Peninsula and in the Forest, and as such, I want to offer my time, skills and passion to protect the quality of life I have grown to love. I am eager to be an advocate for the Forest and my fellow property owners and I look forward to a lifetime of service to both.

- Representative, Monterey County DMF Land Use Advisory Committee
- Representative, PBC DMF Architectural Review Board
I have spent most of my life developing city and project planning concepts, plans, and plan implementation processes. The cities of Rome, New York, and San Jose are some of the communities where I have worked. Because of the volume of new construction and pending development plans for the Forest, the DMFPO is continually resolving issues and developing positions to serve the community’s best interest.
My wife, Kelly, and I are active members of the Pebble Beach Riding and Trails Association, an organization dedicated to the maintenance and protection of a 25-mile trail system within the Forest.
My goal is to insure that proper planning policies in these vital organizations serve as a foundation for preservation.

Ned Van Roekel
- Treasurer
My wife and I moved to Pebble Beach in the fall of 2003. We had previously lived in Indian, Iowa, Michigan, and Minnesota. After serving as a Prosthodontist on the staff of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for more than 24 years the opportunity to open a private practice in Monterey presented itself. We sold both our snow blowers and moved west.
Professionally I have servers on the facility of the Indian University school of Dentistry and the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. My extracurricular activities include serving as the President of the American college of Prosthodontists, The American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, section editor of the International Journal of Prosthodontics. and as a reviewer for several other prosthodontic publications.
I look forward to servicing as treasure for the Pebble Beach Homeowners Association. My wife and I thoroughly enjoy life in the forest. Participating in the activities of the homeowners association will provide the opportunity to promote and protect the ambiance of Pebble Beach.
